Hi, I’m Sharon, co-founder of Sunshine and Daisies! My husband Aaron and I founded Sunshine and Daisies in 2022. I am a self-proclaimed shoe-aholic with a borderline obsession (a running joke with my family and friends) for stilettos and boots, and Aaron is a top-notch sneakerhead. He is the first person I’ve met that is more passionate about shoes than me. Shortly after we met, Anna Wintour and Vogue Magazine collaborated with Air Jordan to create a sneaker and our two worlds collided. I had finally met my match – we are truly a match made in heaven – “sole mates!” 

We not only match our outfits to our sneakers, but also match sneakers to each other’s outfits (couple goals, right?!?!?!). Aaron would find me T-shirts on the internet to match my sneakers. The graphics were so cool, but the T-shirt itself was always disappointing – low-quality fabric, unisex cut, and crew-necked….not a flattering style for my “girlie” figure. We searched high and low and could not find T-shirts with the cool graphics, women’s fit, and quality material I wanted. I was always frustrated – I could either wear the cool graphics and not look stylish, or look stylish without the cool graphics all the guys had on their sneakerhead T-shirts. The struggle was real!!!!!

One day, Aaron looked at me and said, “Why don’t we make them ourselves?” And at that moment it all came flooding back to me. My passion for fashion began at an early age, playing with fashion plates (who else remembers those?!?!?!) in my childhood bedroom while surrounded by dog-eared fashion magazines that were my window to the fashion world. Never satisfied with the norm or being like anyone else, fashion was my way of expressing myself. My Dad always said I was too cosmopolitan for the Midwest, and I made my move to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Bauder Fashion College and expand my fashion horizons.  

So, Aaron and I started researching T-shirt wholesale companies and ordered samples…..a lot of them. After testing out tons of prototype women’s T-shirts, we landed on our signature feminine cut, flowy style T-shirt. A high-quality blend of material with a luxurious feel and flattering cut, our T-shirts are the softest, most stylish T-shirts you will ever wear.

We then started designing the cool graphics for the women’s T-shirts. We quickly realized that we wanted to focus mostly on female characters, showcasing a variety of empowering and fun women. The graphics come straight from our vast imaginations, featuring characters we both have loved forever, have idolized, or feel have made an important contribution to the world. These include musicians, actresses, activists, cartoon characters, and the occasional pop culture reference, all with one thing in common – sneakers! I have to say that designing the graphics with Aaron is a fun way for us to celebrate our childhood memories – we hope you enjoy them as much as we do! So, there you have it, Sunshine and Daisies is the brainchild of two stylish sneakerheads with a passion for fashion.
